Peterson Remodeling, Inc. is a family owned business that has been serving San Diego County since 1981.  With more than 30 years of experience, the company has become one of San Diego’s leaders in home remodeling, additions, and rebuilding due to its perseverance in surpassing expectations.  By focusing on complete satisfaction of clients, employees, and communities the company has built a reputation for its excellence in service and integrity.
The company offers many services, whether it is a contractor, estimator, consultant, designer, decorator, or all in one, Peterson Remodeling, Inc. has the means to take on any project.  With the philosophy of production rather than sales and achieving what the client envisions, the company has been converting customers to life-long clients since being established.  The company also ensures a positive and proud work environment by treating suppliers and subcontractors with respect and courtesy; along with enabling employees to create, grow, and provide for their families.

Raymond J Peterson -President/CEO
Ray Peterson is a San Diego native, whom began his construction career in 1975.  With new and innovative ideas he knew that the only way to work for a company that shared the same motivation, ideals, and attention to detail would be by creating it.  He devoted himself to his trade, accumulating knowledge and perfecting skills until he was ready to launch his own company.  The two main focuses of Ray’s work have always been final product and superior ethical standards, which have proven to be the backbone that has built Peterson Remodeling, Inc. into the successful and highly respected company it is today.  Ray created the original company, RJ Peterson Construction in 1981, eventually incorporating and changing the name in 2000 to Peterson Remodeling, Inc.  The company has been published multiple times in various magazines, including San Diego’s Home and Garden.  The professionalism, honesty, and integrity that Ray and his company have shown to his clients and employees have allowed him to not only accumulate a strong team and returning clientele, but friends for life.
            With the support of his High School sweetheart, whom he married in 1978, he has achieved his long desired goals of becoming a proud family man and successful business owner.  Together Ray and Kelly have three children, Shannon, Tawnie, and Kris, who have all grown into the extraordinary people that they were raised to be.  Their family orientation is the fuel that has kept everything going and the glue which has kept it all together.

Shannon M. Eckel -Corporate Secretary
Shannon joined the family business in 2006 after graduating from the University of Riverside with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Administrative Studies, concentrating in Human Resources Management.  With her strong business acumen and eagerness to learn she has proven to be a valuable asset to the company.  Her abilities to take on any project and offer dynamic ideas and opinions have streamlined the business and maximized efficiency.  While attending UCR, she played two years of Division 1 softball, adding to more than 13 years of sports.  She definitely knows what it takes to be part of a team and after 5 years of accelerated growth in the company, is showing her ability to lead it as well.
